About Us

MLK Dream Weekend is a 501c3 organization of civic and business leaders, committed to the cause of Dr. King and the people of Greenville County.

In an effort to pay tribute to Dr. King and honor his legacy during the week of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, and throughout the year, Pastor Curtis Johnson initiated the formation of MLK Dream Weekend in 2006.

2013 marks our eighth anniversary. MLK Dream Weekend continues to give Greenville citizens an opportunity to honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., while celebrating the diversity of the community in which we live.

More than just events leading up to the King holiday, MLK Dream Weekend, is now creating opportunities for networking, accountability, coaching, encouragement, inspiration and support through the Dreamer’s Community. By turning our dreams into actions, we can change the future for ourselves, our community and others.
