Awards
Honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Corretta Scott King as exemplified by individuals in the Greenville community, MLK Dream Weekend has historically given the MLK Dream Keeper Award and the CSK Dream Keeper Award. Additionally, MLK Dream Weekend has also given the Champion of Dreams Award to honor local organizations whose mission and work in the community is successful in helping people of this great area realize the possibility of turning their dreams into actions. These awards have historically been presented during the MLK Dream Weekend Diversity Banquet. Each year we continue to evaluate our fundraising objectives and while these types of awards and recognitions are extremely important, we find that we make greater impact by putting our resources into student scholarships which has been our focus the past few years.
