MLK Dream Weekend

January 17 – 20, 2014

Thank you to all volunteers, attendees, and sponsors for another captivating MLK Dream Weekend! A special thank you to Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. of Charleston for his inspiring keynote address.

At the Luncheon, visitors enjoyed dining, entertainment, awards and recognitions, culminating with Mayor Riley’s address. Hundreds of business leaders and organizations attended this event to pay honor to Martin Luther King, Jr., and to celebrate diversity in our community. This year 10 scholarships, totaling more than $100,000, were awarded during the Diversity Luncheon, once again showing the commitment to young dreamers in the Upstate.

We are overwhelmed by the support and dedication from the Upstate community to continue to keep Dr. King’s memory and dream alive. This year we were able to offer more scholarships, enabling students to live out their dream, and that’s what this weekend is all about.

Pastor Curtis Johnson, Chairman of Executive Board/Executive Committee.
